The Resurrection of Rust comprises newly recorded renditions of six songs drawn from the repertoire of Elvis Costello's first band Rusty. The album represents the professional reunion of EC with his former bandmate Allan Mayes, 50 years after Rusty's formation. Released July 2022, the two would perform tracks from the album lwith The Imposters and Charlie Sexton, including an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and at the MTF benefit concert:  Elvis Costello & Friends -- King of America & Other Realms.  For more about Rusty watch EC's interview with Jimmy Fallon on August 10, 2022:  The Tonight Show.

Copies of this album were signed by Elvis Costello and Allan Mayes in August 2022 when they were together in New York to perform on The Tonight Show and at the Pier 17 show of Elvis Costello & The Imposters with an opening set by Nick Lowe & Los Straightjackets.
